Educational Outreach
The Anne Arundel Soil Conservation District participates in a variety of programs designed to
educate the public in Anne Arundel County and throughout the State of Maryland about the
issues facing our natural resources. We believe that an educated population is the only way
we ensure that our streams, lakes and farms will still be around for future generations to enjoy.

The following is a list of programs that the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS),
Maryland Departments of Agriculture (MDA), Natural Resources (DNR) and The Environment
(MDE) sponsor in conjunction with the Anne Arundel Soil Conservation District:

Soil Health Awareness Program – NRCS

The Anne Arundel Soil Conservation District also participates in educational programs and
training that keep participants on the cutting edge of new developments in sustainable agricultural,
environmental awareness and species biodiversity. The following is a list of educational material
