Southern Maryland Forestry Workshop
University of Maryland Extension and the Charles Soil Conservation District are sponsoring a class designed to introduce landowners to the process of making a sustainable timber harvest and sale in Southern Maryland. During the course, participants will learn the agencies involved in timber harvest regulations and the different local timber markets to consider when planning a timber sale. We will hear from experts in the field of forestry from University of Maryland Extension, Department of Natural Resources Forestry Service, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and private forestry consulting. Participants will gain the knowledge needed to start the process of making a profitable timber harvest on their land.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be following current county regulations regarding masking in indoor settings. Participants will be required to wear a mask covering the mouth and nose while indoors to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Do not attend the meeting if you have a cough, fever, or other symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the event.
